4th Hour
Purpose:
To introduce high school students to the medium and method of traditional and contemporary mask making.

Presentation of Project
Student will have formulated an idea based on a given project guidlines.
Student will provide evidence of research and visual research
Student will provide sketches showing a variety of compositional and stylistic choices
Student will provide a written rational for their work “Artist Statement”.
Critique
Students will discuss each other’s work in verbal and written form with the intent of offering insight and alternate perspective.
Students will discuss and determine each work’s fulfillment of project guidelines.
Expectation
Each student is expected to research and formulate ideas outside the classroom. Preparation and a well thought out idea are crucial keys to the success.
